Those all are the people who were lazy with their taxes
On the other hand they still had 3 more hours to send their tax declaration when I took this photo (yep, it was 9 pm today and you have to send it before midnight). There are rumors that last year there were people in Jindrisska post office at 10 pm just starting filling the forms. Personally I think those are not rumors...
Well, good thing is that due to changes in Czech tax law I had to pay much much less then I had expected = more money to buy unnecessary things :)

Febiofest at Village Cinemas
Febiofest is one of the big Prague's International film festivals. We used to skip school just to see as many movies as possible. And then run from one cinema to another to catch all screenings. Well, it's getting easier now because you can see it all in one large multiplex cinema - Village Cinemas at Andel.
BTW, in Village Cinemas at Andel... they check your ticket only downstairs under the escalator and then you can go anywhere in the two above stairs and choose between the 12 movie screens. This means you can see as many films as your body allows you. Or until they get you :) But to tell the truth one movie at a time is just enough.

Squatting in Prague
"No repression can stop the desire for freedom."
The first Prague squat real estate agency.
The building on the second photo is a gorgeous one. I've been going by for years always wondering how come that somebody didn't live there. It looks like it's easier to live there than it would seem to, now.

Wednesday Doorway - Cubist villa
Along with House of the Black Madonna in downtown this villa might be the best known cubist house in Prague. And thanks to The Lone Beader I know that there are more cubist houses in neighborhood :)
BTW, I got inspiration for Wednesday Doorway theme from Clueless in Boston... and then it goes to Isadora's Budapest Daily Photo. I hope you'll enjoy their photos.

Newer and better Kotva store
A lot of changes in the good old Kotva department store - former biggest one in Prague. They continue in overall reconstructions, currently on the 3rd floor.
In related news, and this may be interesting to someone who remembers Maj. Tesco is renaming itself to "My" so... there was that another big department store at Narodni trida street we called "Maj", which is pronounced fairly similar to english word "my". It was renamed like ten years ago to Tesco. And now as you would guess it will be back with the old/new name "My", which is pronounced fairly similar to czech word "maj".
Here's a picture of Maj/Tesco/My and here's a picture from the back, the way I go almost everyday :)

We got a taste of Europe
These are from the Wenceslas square part of Taste Europe event. I think they should do more concerts in here. Great place for concerts! Too bad they all started so soon. Like Fun Lovin' Criminals from 6 pm on Thursday?

One of parks in Smichov. There's also a great pond/lagoon here (but without water in this part of year). Will show it to you in spring. I know you'll like it :)

Sister's high school
My sister's former high school Na Zatlance. They must do something good there as my little sister finished faculty of architecture at Czech Technical University without a problem. Or maybe she's just talented (she gives me paintings for my birthdays, btw :)

March Theme Day - Glass
Broken glass at our bus stop for this month's theme day at CityDailyPhoto.com. Broken glass is rather usual than not broken. That may be the reason why they use plastic for new tram stops now.
