Dejvice - look at the view
Dejvice is our new home. For at least a few more months. And there's one thing about Dejvice... it is really nice for living. It's on the other side of Prague (north) which is calm, full of nature, and still close to everything. Plus you get those spectacular views from Dejvice. That's Prague Castle on the horizon. I will show you more as we wander around Dejvice, usually in great amazement :)

Jeep and its 70 years
Did you know that Jeep celebrates 70th anniversary this year? Well, we spent last few months planning a big celebration of its 70 years here in the Czech Republic. It turned out to be a big success :) We had over 100 Jeeps on the rivefront in Prague facing the Prague Castle and went up to 165 Jeeps at our two more locations in central Bohemia. What a great three days :)
Did you notice similar celebrations in your county? I'm being a little curious :)

The Silent clapping record at Palackeho square
They had a deaf event here at Palackeho square. And part of their programme was this 2 minutes silent clapping record. Everybody had those white gloves and it was simply great and full of energy :)

Experience Prague differently
It was a special day in Prague today. We have this "experience the city differently" thing going on. And it was quite nice. There were a lot of extra activities all around Prague. What is catched on today's photos are the cycling and transformation of Americka street. Add the perfect weather and you'd like to have a day like this every weekend :)

Curve and advantages of Modrany
Nice thing about Modrany is that: it is close to greens (=nature and forest etc.) on the Southern end of Prague, it's on the hill and you get great views over the city and Vltava river, and thanks to Prague public transport you are downtown in about 20-30 minutes.

Lunch at Ladvi
One think you get when you're older is that you remember "when there were no subway station here" :) As is in this case with Ladvi. We were having a lunch in this restaurant from the 80s on Sunday. It looks very grey and not-interesting but you usually get good Czech food for really low prices in these kinds of restaurants. And they serve Kofola, of course... :)

Preparations for the Czech F-Body Session
We are in the preparations of a big Camaro and Firebird event and this is from the video teaser shooting, the actual place where all the cars will be parked. I think it's a nice place :) At the river with views on Prague Castle and with farmer's market nearby. What else would you need :)
If you're in Prague on September 10, here are more information and the final video teaser: http://www.chevroletcamaro.cz/fbody/

The Four old friends in Modrany
These four in the centre just got off the Modrany farmer's market. Few years ago there was just an empty square with nothing. Now, they have farmer's market here. Quite popular judging from the number of people there.

Saab in Anglicka street
One of the busiest streets in Prague, Zitna street, starts just around the corner. This is still Anglicka street which tends to be calmer. Especially on Sundays :) ... and my first boss (when I was much younger) tended to like Saabs and has a few of them now.

The Kampa insides
After yesterday's inside of Café B. Braun I have to show you this inside of a building at Kampa. If you go downstairs there's a restaurant which would have (I guess) some nice views over Čertovka.

Buses at Želivského station
I may be the only one who makes trips around Prague totally dependent on our public transport. Get in any bus in the morning and travelling through the day to the places I have never been before. This is one of the changing places at Želivského bus station.
Is there anybody else who does this? :)

Underground workshop
I like this place. It's so not from this time. With people still manually producing frames for paintings. The owner of the shop continue in this tradition after his father. Unfortunately it's not a good time for manually producing anything. So the whole store is to be closed and rented to someone else.

There's a hidden shortcut between Spalena and Opatovická street. With this tree and stunning old facades.

Views of the day
Starting downtown. Even here you can find some nice views :)
In Dejvice. There's a church at the "backyard" :)
And we climbed right at the top of that church :)

Few days ago we were at the Solstice celebrations at Michnův Palace which was organized by Kampa theater. There were so many people... and here's one of them: Květa, who is a tea master and know about tea and all kinds of tea rituals more than anybody else I know :)
